Intake Crack????
I think I may have an intake leak/crack. See photo link http://www.flickr.com/photos/49724565@N07/9666680143/
It's a 85 vette and it appears oil is puddling on the lower intake between cylinders 2 and 4 at the casting mark.
Car runs good. I did an intake reseal about 3k miles ago to cure cylinders 2 and 4 from fouling... Sucking oil from valley??? I am going to pull the plugs shortly in 2 and 4 to see what they look like right now.
Car has 65 k miles.

It could very well be a crack. I will tell ya I just did the top end on my '85 and I thought the same thing. After looking at what appeared to be a crack, I determined that its just bad casting.
With the car running spray some carb cleaner around the area of the "crack and see if it changes the idle. If it does then you have a problem.
