interior lights
lights do not come on when opening the doors, i see in the manual it is controlled by a light sensor, that appear to be in the front center of the dash, door plungers seem to be working fine (not stuck) the lights do come on if you turn the switch by the headlight switch.
anyone have any experience with this ?
If you place your finger over the ambient light sensor to simulate darkness, with a door open, do the courtesy lights come on?
You can also shine a light at the sensor and see if the dash cluster lights brighten.
They should dim if you block the sensor.
If that works, could be the courtesy lamp relay. The CCM grounds the relay to turn on the courtesy lights.
Service manual says to verify CCM codes 24 and 25 are not set.
Take a piece of wire and short pin A to pin G on the diagnostic connector above the drivers right knee. Pin A is the top far right and pin G is the bottom row far left.
Turn the ignition on and look at the speedometer LCD.
CCM is Module 1
ECM is Module 4.
The relay is located along the front edge of the passenger side of the dash. The relays are all the same so you can swap them around.
