Default Quick cluster question

I have to buy a used cluster and wanted to know how I can swap my miles over to the new on or how can I adjust it to my original miles.. I haven't looked into this much and any help would be appreciated. Ty

If it's an '84 as hinted in your "user ID" the odometer and motor need transfered. There's much you should research before blindly doing a buy. Odometer should be the least of your concerns.

Why do you feel you need to buy a "used"? A repair of yours might actually be the desired approach.

You can transfer your odometer from one cluster to the other, no problem (same year). They did change the odometer motor electrical plug at some point throughout the years. My 85 odo was not plug and play for a later year cluster.

correct. the 84 odometer is year specific (an '84 will not work on an '85 and vise versa) early odometers had a 2 wire setup where as the years that followed had a 3 wire setup. so the connector will be different between the two styles

For reference, my early '86 odometer has a two wire connector.
