Default 1988 Evap canister

I have found a few vacuum leaks and in searching for more I found what I think is a vent for the charcoal (evap) system by the drivers side headlight. I have one line coming out of the bottom of the canister then it tee's off into another line and both lines end and are left wide open about 8"-12" away from the canister. Is this normal?

Not really, I will take a picture and see if some one with the same year can tell me where their lines go. I do not see anything that they would plug into, but why would they have a tee if they both just deadend?

A while back we got into a discussion about charcoal canister connections (I don't remember how it all got started -- I think it had something to do with gas tank pressure). As a result I posted this (lots of pictures):

Yup, mine is the same. I have an '86, however it may have been replaced with either an '87 or '88 unit. Both vent lines are not connected to anything. 1 goes towards the front of the car, and the other points towards the rear of the car..........

The emissions label on the radiator shroud should show all the connections to your canister.
