why not just fix it with a small piece of vac hose? cut out the damage and slip the hose over the ends...its not law that it be hard line. In fact, after 30 yrs all those hardlines are junk anyway. Brittle as a cracker. Easy chewin for the mouse...

with leesvet. Get some rubber hose and splice the chewed line together. You can't get the formed hard line anymore. I have heard of places that sell larger quantities, but it is straight and you would have to heat and bend it which is a difficult problem.

Thanks.....I had just parked it that mouse moved fast he did this damage within a short time.. I set some traps and got one...... I was also trying to ask about the plugin wires to the bottom of the page also, next to the Carb. the plug is piggybacked on top of where the vacume hose is it has two wires and the terminal are showing, they have been chewed on too, what is this, I need a new one. And yes I though of the splicing just didnt want to do it, was hopeing for a replacement.

if its the same as my 84 then the switch controls the flow of-operates the exhaust gas valve just be hind it on the intake manifold

have changed most of the solid vacuum line on mine out also.
if you really want hard line, you can get truck air line in 1/4 and 1/8 at a truck repair shop.

as others say regular vacuum line work as well or better and easier to come by.

Doing Good... the deal is. I know the history of this vette the past three owners. The two of them are really good friends of mine the other lives in town. And yes that is a crate motor my buddy installed he was a good mechanic at the time. i watched him put it in.
