Default throttle body question

Does anyone know if an OEM 1996 throttle body will fit onto a 1985? Are any modifications required? Is there anything I should think about? I also have an Upgrade to the 1996 OEM as well. I think it is 450 cfm. would either bolt right on? what benefit would this give me?
I am not very mechanically inclined as you can tell.

It should bolt up, but the 85 and 96 linkage are different..I don't see any benefit, just a lot of work changing the linkage...Im still using the stock throttle body with close to 400 hp in my 89 , so I can't see it doing anything to add power to a stock motor.... ..WW

Stock 48mm TB on the 85 will support up to about 400 HP. No benefit to making the change.
