Just removed the all the AIR plumbing and and blocked off the back of the intake manifiold and plugged the bungs in the headers on my '96 LT4. Electric pump is still plugged in and does work. After a few drive cycles the SES light came on. Pulled codes and of course the Air injection system code came up. (don't recall the actual numeric code). With the pump plugged in and working the OBD II diagnostic must be reading the O2 sensors as way too rich at idle and not an electrical fault. I think that the code has to be programmed out of the PCM for the code not to set and light to stay off. Can any one tell me who or where I can get this done. I'm in Atlanta and don't have to deal with emissions testing (Senior Exemption). Thanks in Advance for any help.

I think PCMFORLESS could probably handle the delete on that.
Just curious though. Why are you removing all of the EGR and Air pump? Is this something that you drive frequently, or is it just a Saturday Race Track toy?
If you've done all of that, I would make a WAG that you are getting a P0400 code for the lack of EGR.
I live in South Carolina where we have no state inspection at all, and I have no plans on deleting any of that on my 96 LT1.

Thanks J.... I'll give them a shout. I plan on replacing the camshaft shortly with something a little more agressive and am trying to do as much related work as possible before I actually go into the motor (you know.... one change at a time). First on the list is blast and recoat the headers and dump the cats. I also think that the motor compartment is much too cluttered with all that plumbing running all over the place. I'm sure that the code will pop up again after a few drive cycles but P0400 sounds right...as soon as I saw "air injection" in the descriptive I ignored the actual code. I may wait til the motor work is complete before I do anything with the PCM....thanks again for the prompt response.

When I swapped a 'built' LT4 into my 95 I put on long tube headers, no cats, and deleted the entire EGR system. Then PCM4less did the tune for me. Later I had it on the dyno and the pcm4less tune was about perfect.

Thanks aminnich, thats two strong recommendations for PCMforless. I'll call them on Monday and see if I can run the PCM up there for a quick turnaround as I have some friends in Mooresville!
Thanks again
