I'm sure you've noticed that with the electronic gages the gas gage acts funny it takes a long time to get through the first bar and a little shorter time to get through the second bar and so on and so on until a quarter of a tank only last a very short while before it's out.
I've got my sending unit out of the car right now changing a fuel pump, is there anything I can do while I've got it apart to fix this?
Its probably the dash not the sender.
The sender is only a reastat,which means you can put other senders on there.
You should see it go from 10 to 90 on a ohms meter when you check across the terminals & move the float.
P.S. its spelled gauge.
