loose brake caliper

loose brake caliper

my front passenger side brake caliper keeps coming apart. the pin comes out and it seperates from the bracket and rubs on the inside of the wheel. i keep buying the caliper hardware kit and putting it back together but the same thing always happens. i dont know whats wrong. it looks identical to the drivers side which has never come apart.

heres the hardware kit minus one pin, washer, and c clip. i dont know what the black things are

It looks like the groove in either (or both) the abutment bracket and caliper is worn. I'd check those out vs. the other side if you can.

Had the same thing happen to me when autoxing. I put on heavy duty clips and also built up the caliper bracket pin area to raise the pin just a hair and have had no more problems.

I was thinking of that. They do look a tiny bit rounded out. Im surprised the tolerances are that close

I have to bring spare pins with me to autox. What did you use to build up the pin area?
