I have my ABS Light on at the dash. I've replaced the ABS Relay, ABS Motor Relay and ABS Solenoid Relay. When keyed, the light comes on and flashes twice, I can hear the Solenoid relay click at that time, but no ABS pump motor. The light stays on after it flashes.
As I've done the diagnosis... the next action to test the pump motor was to take out the motor relay (12513302) and jumper 37 to 87. When I made the jump the wire got hot real fast and the motor didn't pump. Indicating a short to ground.
What I assume at this point is the motor is internally shorted out. Other indications are when the light first came on and I broke open the back compartment it was sopping wet. Definitely - not good.
Can anyone validate my assumption the pump motor is toast... or could it simply be the ABS Module? Super Thanks! Dave
If the ABS light stays on, you might check the Brake Fuse in the Fuse Box. Mine is a 10A, and I blew it accidently once while checking the MAF Burn-Off Relay connector. Weird I know...but if you have a lot of Brake Fluid present, you probably have other problems.
