Idid the muffler elim and replaced the stock resonator wit ha magnaflow dual in/out muffler. Really like the sound, no drone or anything of that nature.
One thing to always check with your custome exhaust if you are experience drone, or too loud in the car. Make sure the exhuast tips are about a 1/4" or so beyond the bumper cover and pointed slightly down. Also that the hanger brackets are tight, and have the rubber pieces in them. I read alot of conflicting reviews about drone on alot of systems, and I have to wonder if some of them are not installation issues.
Eatmydst1234 does your LT1 exhaust still have its original cats and resonator still on? I have a 92 LT1 with Flowmasters that sounds great except for the drone when the convertible top is on. My cats and resonator are original would like to get rid of the drone if muffler eliminators really work.
My car has cats, but no res. That too was taken off before I got the car. It has an x-pipe in it's place

I'm about to do the same in regards to the magnaflow dual in/out muffler.
