Default throttle body cable

My throttle body cable, the one going from the asr to the throttle body is starting to fray. Does anyone know of a source for this cable or have suggestions on how to repair? The factory cable is actually 2 cables made into one. It services the tv cable going down to the transmission and also the throttle body. Not sure if I could cut the retainer in half to divorce the two, and then use a different cable for the throttle cable. Hopefully someone has figured out a solution for this. The factory cable has been discontinued.

This member seemed satisfied with his 'fix':

I seen that post when doing a search. The problem is the 93 manual cable has been discontinued as well.
It may be finding a used cable will be my only option but still would like to hear from others as to how they fixed their car.

OK I decided to try and repair mine. So below is what I did. Hopefully this will help others.

I purchased a bike cable from a local hardware store.

The cable on the right is the bike cable. The cable on the left is the asr end of my broken cable

This is the size of the bike cable end

This is the size of the orig. cable end

At this point I use a bench grinder to cut it down and a file as well. Not the best job but it works.

This is the throttle body end of the orig. cable

I then took a piece of 3/16 brake line, drilled a hole in it, and then used my tubing cutters to cut it to what is below.

I then made a make shift jig to hold the cable and fitting and brazed the end. Notice I wrapped the cable in a wet paper towel to protect the cable housing.

After brazing the end, I used a dremel and ground the end smooth.

I put the cable on the throttle body and adjusted it. It seems fine but it is raining here so I will not be able to drive it for a little while. The cable was $1.79 and the brake line tube was scrap, but at worst, it would be $3.00. So for less then $5.00 and 1.5 hrs. its fixed!!
