I have a new 350 left over from a 94 chevy truck I sold and need to know if it will work in my 1984 vette by changing the cross fire intake or not? If any one know the details please let me know, THANKS
The only diff is that on the truck HEADS, the intake bolts that are centered in the head (on either side of the exhaust cross over passage) are drilled vertically (as the head sits on the engine), rather than perpendicular to the flange.
This is EASILY accommodated with the CFI intake by simply inserting a drill bit into the corresponding bolt holes on the intake and rotating it until vertical, then grinding the bolt head pad so it has a flat spot. Piece of cake.
The down side is the truck engine has "Swirl port heads". The are the worst flowing heads made by GM. Additionally, that engine has a tiny cam. You will end up with about 200 hp.
