86 digital dash
I just had my 86 digital dash repaired on my 86 auto and in the tach panel there is a dwith a o around it maybe a overdrive signal is that suppose to be there also there is a arrow with a upshift symbol is that suppose to be there thanks

On the information panel, when I shift into 2d gear or above, there's the letter D inside a letter O that comes on.
On the tach side of the instrument panel, there is a upshift symbol that comes on when you get around 2K rpm's and above till you sift to the next gear or the rpms drop.
That's all I can tell you about it.

An automatic should have an upward pointing arrow in the upper left corner of the tach window. Underneath it says UPSHIFT FOR BEST ECONOMY.
That light will come on if you go over 40 MPH while the trans is in Drive for some amount of time I don't know offhand. The idea is to get you to shift into OD.

My 86e AT has the up-shift light which illuminates when in 3rd gear for more than 60 secs approx.
No D/O light is there, I've dismantled the cluster and can confirm that.

They just rebuilt it with the 4+3 cluster LED instead of the auto. Just the wrong display for that car,. it won't be a problem, it just won't look quite right.

I believe 86's have it in the Driver's Information Center (DIC) center console like mine does. In 87 is when it moved to the tach and speedo cluster......
