hi guys. quick question for anyone with an answer. I want to replace my passenger side mirror on my 1988 corvette and I ordered one online made for the year and model of my car. Well the problem is that it is mirror on both sides. Any suggestions as to how I can glue mirror to the plastic frame of the mirror??? I am thinking about crazy glue but dont think that would work. Someone told me to try some sillicone would that work??? any suggestions???

If you've got the plastic backing cleaned well get some 3M 06396 adhesion promoter and some "black" 3M double-sided molding tape and use the promoter on the mirror and also the backing plate. Using the black double-sided molding tape it won't go anywhere.
The 06396 is in a small packet and a body shop supply house might offer singles. A good collision shop might/should have also. You want the "black" Acrylic Plus tape and there's so many widths I won't mention numbers. Google can be your friend here. Heat it with a hair dryer before install.
hi guys. quick question. Well the problem is that it is mirror on both sides.
Do you want only quick answers to your quick question? Are you having trouble figuring out which side is "up" on the mirror? For minimum distortion, you want the "first surface" on the top. This means the reflective coating is on the top surface of the glass.
Touch the surface of the mirror with a pencil, and look at the reflection at a 45 degree angle. Does the reflection look like there's a gap between the tip of the pencil and the tip of the reflection? If so, the mirror is upside down. Flip the mirror over and try this trick again. The reflection should look like the tip of the pencil is touching the tip of the reflection.
