Anyone know where the OAT sensor is on a late model C4. It seems like every time I thoroughly was my C4, the OAT stops at the last temp reading for about a week. Any thoughts?
If you look into where the air enters the nose. It's on the left hand side. It's a small plastic peice. It almost looks like one of the deer whistle things.
The sensors are pretty cheap. Had to buy one for my 90 and pretty sure they are under $20, even list from GM. 2 wire connector, (the 90 is in the center area under the bumper-follow the air. It may be connected to a couple of wires, blk and LT Grn/blk.) The LT Gren/Blk wire should have 5 volts (if wire colors same as 90)
The service manual will list a chart, you note outside air temp, and chart will tell what resistance should be across the resister. (Check around section 1C1-11 if you have the service manual).
Could just be covered by dirt and road gunk.
Keep the greasy side down.

Thanks DKmyers. After reading your response along with the first response, I've determined that the sensor was completely gunked-up and hardly detectable. I'll go for the replacement. It dos'nt look to difficult to pull and replace.
