Also, all this "junk" you are seeing....how do you know it's junk? When I see a block that's got weeds growing out of the intake and the flywheel is half buried in the dirt and bubba cannot recall exactly WHEN it was pulled, ITS JUNK.

You are in fact the person who is on an internet forum asking essentially if you can bore a 350 block into a 400 block.No. I asked why and what happens mif that were done since nobody directly answered my original question about what is the difference. An intelligent question is designed to provoke a response that should contain the information that is needed. Instead of being of help, I get stupid **** like this? Thank God there ARE forum members that I DO trust to have good info to share and will do it like adults.

..which is a widely known no.

You are also stating that "because the cranks are the same fit"...which they most certainly are not. The main journal diameter is different between the 2 sizes. Yes, I AM aware of that> I was stating "the same" meaning they are all the same profile for the SBC family.

This isn't meant to be mean, of course it is. You are making a juvenile attempt to belittle someone that came here asking for some info from people that I RESPECT...most of them, anyway.

but if that's your level of knowledge on this subject perhaps you should have someone else do the leg work on finding a block. I opened this thread with the statement..."excuse my ignorance regarding 400 blocks" if you had been paying attention. I know little about the 400 ONLY having dealt with the 350 for the last..30 yrs.

You may be surprised to find out how many good blocks that machine shops know of through their customer base (even some used Bowtie variants that racers are no longer using). Best of luck on you build. Just my .02
Now I know where to go and who to see for $0.02 worth of help.

Thank you anyway.
