Default Electrical problems

My luck is really bad with Vettes! Yesterday my a/c blower went out, now today I'm having strange electrical problems. My wife was driving the car home from work today. All was normal (besides the a/c) when she stopped at the gas station. When she tried to start it again, nothing happened. Radio came on, but no juice to start it. She got a jump and the car started. When she got home I put a voltmeter on the battery to test out the alternator when I noticed some really odd readings. The voltmeter wouldnt' settle down. It jumped from mv to v to .900 to 351 to -130 and so on. All over the place with absolutely no usable reading. I checked the meter against the battery in my wife's car and it read 13.3v. So I know it's working. Any idea what could cause the crazy readings and the car to not start? It started fine after she got home so I'm thinking the alternator is working, but I can't account for those readings.

Thx,
Jason

Remove battery connections. Remove bolts from cables. Clean.

Check for acid leakage from + battery terminal.
