Default ASR Issues

This is a topic I am not quite clear on . Only thing I really notice is it is a little over responsive . I find it more of an annoyance than anything else . I have read the forms and had a look at the links , but there is no clear cut removal procedure . Well lets say it like this not one that I want to hack and cut my Vette up over I would rather just try to keep in mind to just hit the button. I guess it just boils down to I like to be in control of my car and not have some type of system trying to over ride me . Not a huge issue just more of a pain in the ***. Can you not just unplug the unit under the hood and be done with it ??? I am not trying to remove it , I am not trying to show off headers or anything so I would rather not mess with trying to rig up something from a non ASR car . I just do not want it functioning . So by theory unplugging it would just do away with it right ? It was that easy with the skip shift (1 to 4 ) just unplugged it at the trans. problem solved . I thought about just reversing the button to instead of always on it would be always off and you would have to turn it on. I am open to ideas

Default I will

I guess the idea we can all agree on is it is the play mode button . Really the idea behind getting a Corvette is the whole ***** to the walls experience, its a muscle car put on a sports car like suspension set up . Too bad they just didn't have it as turn it on or off in stead of a constant on switch . I am getting better at remembering to turn it off . Wastes a lot of gas with it off , lol. But the car is a different animal with out the ASR on . So far its been a fun car , awesome year to work with . In my opinion this is the Gen of Corvette that was the first to world wide make the Corvette a force to be considered a threat . Wasn't much that we made this side of the pond as a production car up till then that could boast 190 out of the box . Nice car all the way around , everything has a few cars . Even though the car looks like a flattened box < lol at 12 / 13 years old I fell in love with the car and said some day I will own that car . At 36 I do own the car . So ha , ha, guess you don't have to be an old fart to drive a Vette . Always pisses me off that you see some old rusty guy driving a beautiful machine never to get on it open it up < hell the damn thing probably hasn't been 10 miles over the speed limit . That concludes my rant for the day LOl. Bottom line turn it off to play and to be in old man mode put the key in and drive . I could see it in an automatic , but I have a 6 speed . Who knows right ?
