A while ago both the water and oil temperature lights on my '93 vert stopped working. Just had it checked by an American car specialist (few and far between here in the UK!), and he's narrowed it down to an open circuit in the instrument pod - the senders and loom are fine.
I know of a similar age car currently being broken for spares (again pretty rare over here), so could probably buy a complete replacement.
My question is, is the memory for the mileometer in the instrument pod, or elsewhere? My car's low-mileage, and I don't want to lose my proof!!
Thanks for your help. So, if I'm reading the link correctly, if the CCM is not changed, I can just plug in a replacement instrument unit, and it will display the correct mileage?
