93 LT1` Ignition Problem, HELP!!!
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my 93 LT1 that I will need some help regarding engine starting. Recently, I had Best Buy install Viper alarm on this car and immediately after, I had a starting problem. Vehicle will start when engine is cold, but after 15 mins on idle and engine turned off, the car wouldn't start anymore till after 30-40 mins it cooled down. I had Best Buy remove the alarm, but the problem persisted. I replaced the bcm/ccm on it with a rebuilt but to no improvement. Lately, I drove it about 5 miles then engine just turned off on its own while on drive gear. I found a bulletin from ALLDATA that aftermarket alarm should not be installed on this particular model because the alarm will have adverse effect on the Passkey and the UTD (Universal Theft Deterrent) Systems. Please give me some input on where I should start or maybe this subject might be an old problem you guys already solved in the past. Please help. Thanks.

..... Troubleshoot the simple stuff first ... check for spark during the no-start ... and check for fuel pressure ... the fuel pump should run for 2-3 seconds when you first turn on the ignition to the run position ... the alarm system might be coincidental to the real issue ............
