Default Another crank, no start!

Okay, so I have fuel pressure, i have 12 volts at injector plugs. wires look good around distributer. still cranks but wont start. It will catch and die sometimes. Also it will run while fogging intake with starting fluid.

I like the Autoxray XP 240. See if this may help:

so here are the codes im getting:
13- oxygen sensor fault-signal too low/open left oxygen sensor circuit
15- coolant temp sensor or circuit fault- signal voltage too high
21- tps sensor- signal voltage is high
23- IAT sensor low/ MAT sensor or intake air low temp/ TPS error
25- MAT or IAT temp high. Spark referance (24x) signal low voltage
32- Electronic vacuum regulator valve error. exhaust gas recirculation valve diagnostic switch-closed during engine start up or open when EGR flow requested by ECM 3. MAP sensor signal voltage is low
41- Cam sensor failure. cylinder select error. Electronic spark timing circuit-open or shorted to ground during engine run. Ignition system fault-loss of 1x reference pulse signal
46- Power steering switch failure. VATS failure
51- Computer problem; faulty, wrong or incorrectly installed PROM circuit; or ECM/PCM failure.
53- system voltage too high (over 17.7 volts to ECM) or EGR system fault or alternater voltage not normal or Vehicle Anti-theft system fault.

so im not sure how many of these codes are old and were before i started trying to find this problem. I bought this car not running.

I was wondering how to erase these codes so i could run a fresh scan to wee which codes are still there.

Codes like this tend to make me think ecm, or memcal failure. Can you pull the memcal from the ecm, and tell us the alpha code from the silver sticker. A 1990 may have ANHT for example. This may be a better place to look up your codes:
http://www.chevythunder.com/Flow%20c...roubleshooting Flow Chart Pages
The 90 has no cam sensor.

You can see your BCC here:

Start with ecm, and then the memcal. I can help you with the memcal if you like. see my website in my username. First, do as another suggested and clear codes to see if you pull the same a second time.

I cleared the codes and got the same ones back again.
So you think I should start with the ECM? How much should I expect to pay for one? and is this a dealer item or should i get one off ebay?

Those error codes don't seem to be correct for your car (for example, Corvettes don't have a power steering pressure switch, code 46). See this list:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1576116036-post35.html

If you really have that many codes (you didn't say how you retrieved them), then either you're using a scanner that is not configured correctly for your car or you have bad grounds.

Hmmm. Ya, I'm using a scanner connected to the OBD 1 port.

Also, the way the scanner reads is " power steering pressure switch, OR vats fault

You have won the jackpot prize ; DTC 41
Loss of serial data Comms from the CCM to the ECM which includes the above VATS signal

Could be a faulty ECM or CCM , the wiring in between them or a bad ground

VATS shuts of the injectors by stopping them firing ( and also the starter to prevent theft. )
One or both parts of VATS can fail independent of each other

As cheap as the 1227727's are on flea bay it would be worth it too pick one up and have an extra. hook it up with your memcal, and if the same condition exists you know it's not the ecm. if you'd like, you may send me your memcal, and I can test it for you. as others have said, you're just pulling too many codes for it not too be a ecm, or memcal issue. Personally, I wouldn't think the CCM would cause this issue as vettoz suggested, but he's a smart guy.

Also, if the ECM is located just above the brake booster, where is the ccm located?
