when dual mass flywheels started to go south, swapping in a Z28 (or any v8 fbody) flywheel was in vogue; but it required having approximately 0.090" machined of its surface to accommodate the pull style clutch and ZF trans; with the advent of aftermarket flywheels specifically designed for the C4, few bother with the cost of modifying an fbody flywheel anymore.
AH thanks got that, in fact I have a spec mid weight flywheel.
But the question is about the Pressure Plate, I believe it is the same plate just with a different through out bearing.
the 94 C4 pressure plate is a pull type pressure plate rather than the more common (conventional) push type pressure plate...not sure what style the 96 Fbodies used.
96 F bodies = Pull type. 11" 26 spline 1 1/8 sprung hub disc.
94 corvette Pull type. 11" 26 spline 1 1/8 un-sprung hub disc due to the DM flywheel being sprung. I am 99 percent sure the Pressure plate are the same, just looking for verification about the Pressure Plate.
