Interior trim..dash bezels etc
I've done the plastic paint deal. Works great, looks good until heat causes the paint to bubble and blister. Once painted the pieces will ALWAYS have to be painted ...

Armoure-all and similar "wet" products just attract dust. Looks like felt after a drive down a dirt road.....
Any alternatives to buying NEW pieces?
I just bought a bunch of interior stuff off a donor car... but some is showing signs of age with a duller finish. Not slick and shiny like when new. Not horrible but also not new either.
I'll try the stripping and cleaning....I've done several trim "make-overs" in various color or textures. One of the more interesting was the "hammered" silver finish that came out looking like metal...like sheet metal on the dash and console. Then I trimmed out the rear area as well. The hammered finish was great for hiding small defects and new scratches. I should have left it alone.....
But, I started to 'miss' the factory shine and took it all off.....back to square one.
I CAN just repaint the old parts and store the box of replacement trim I bought...
or......? Pretty Nails? Could be.
Thanks for the link !
