Just an FYI that the mass backed carpet sets for the 1994-1996 mass backed are now updated and WOW!!! They fit like a glove!
Over the last six weeks we've been working with ACC to correct issues that were prevalent in these carpet sets. The changes included the rear well humps, the rear floor T section, the driver lower dash carpet, and both sill areas.
We have one more section to install and it will be completed tomorrow.
Since I got my hands all over this project, it's likely that I'll be doing a write up on the installation for our web site as well. We have hundreds of pictures and when completed may help someone with the installation..
Personally.. I'd like to Thank ACC and those associated with this. Randy Cotton, Roger and Michelle... you all did an awesome job! An extra tip of the hat to Randy for his skills in mold making...
Thank you,
Willcox
Sneak Peek ... Check out those humps.. lol

just have one question, is the rear carpet sections for the 94-96 coupe the same as the 90, and would the new tooling be used for other years? my factory pieces over the rear wheel well humps are so deformed from age, heat, and in general, just poor fitting originals.

No, they are different my knowledge there wasn't any issue with that part.
One question: is it possible to buy the rear "T" section by itself? The rest of my carpet is good except that piece.
Thanks!
I just checked... Acc doesn't have a part number for the rear floor Y section. I will contact them and see if it is possible but it will be Monday before I can get you an answer.
And you know.. while I do most of posting in the C3 and C2 sections for help.. We deal with all years. I always have the C4 and up guys on my mind. I'm just more versed in the earlier cars.
But.. if there is an issue in my shop it follows the same rules for all cars. If we can't install it, how can I expect you guys to do so....
I don't!
So, when there is an issue we try (and that is a task sometimes) to make sure it is corrected if possible.
In this case... ACC was more than willing to listen. . . and work with us on making the needed corrections. It's great when vendors work together to make things better for everyone.
Regards,
Ernie
