Default FIRST manifold installation

Well, I am almost done with my FIRST manifold installation, and it was not without it's complications. The manifold needed the corners rounded off to fit under the ridge on the heads, and the entire fuel injection system need plumbing. I chose to run the fuel lines like the factory, which forced me to get creative. Lots of test fitting and such. But, no flex line, and the only modification I had to do to the factory fuel lines was to bend them back a little where they met the factory injection system.

Very nice, please tell me you don't have a chip programmed by AFI?

No. Not that far yet. Once I get it all put together and running on the factory tune I am probably going to give PCMforless a call. I don't want to throw a new chip in this mess. I've got enough variables at the moment.

Nice installation and pictures!

I'm also going to install my FIRST manifold (and my new 383) soon

Are you planning to support the fuel pressure regulator with more than the fuel lines or are these sufficient? I'm thinking if the vibrations will effect the fuel lines negatively over time?

The regulator is supported by its own bracket bolted to the manifold. The tubing adds extra stability but is not the main support.

Shoot me any questions you might have. A few of us has done this now and can save you a lot of trouble. Devils in the details as they say.
