I have an 86 coupe, 21K miles, all stock. After a year and a half of almost trouble free fun, I believe its either the master or the slave cylinder. I noticed the bleed screw is easy to get to so I opened it up and it seems to be pumping fluid. The peddle has gone completely limp ,I may have introduced some air into the system. When the wife gets home she can help me bleed it. I have a FSM.
Just hoping some of you could share any experience in this area.
I changed out the fluid with a turkey baster in the spring.
There are no visable leaks. I am leaning towards ordering a slave cylinder. Thanks guys
If you can't get the air out of the system you might want to give reverse bleeding a try, pump fluid from the slave up to the master using a pump type oil can.
Those bleeders are in the wrong place to bleed the system by yourself, I switched to a 96 slave cyl with the bleed screw on top, which allows for easy one man bleeding.

I like this idea. I have all the parts out. It looks like it will be easy to find the master and slave cyl..
Does anyone know where I can get a new line?????
Thank you,
