There's a part in the door that I believe is called an "actuator" that opens and closes the lock.. If this part goes bad or has an internal short it can cause the lock to do what yours is doing..I would suggest taking the door panel off and seeing if this is whats happening..It's attached to the end of the rod that moves the locking mechanism .. It could posible be the switch that locks and unlocks the door also, Im not positive on this but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.........WW

However, I am currently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Been here for 1 1/2 years, but will leave back to the states in late Dec. I am in the NE part of town, near intersection on North and East Ring Road. Would like to see your vette before I leave if possible. I also have both FSM with me if you need to look up any thing.
