Default fuel canister

Im having trouble remembering how to hook up the fuel charcoal canister located in the front drivers side of the front bumper. I took photos but now cant find them. My specific question is on the bottom of the canister are two hoses. I cant seem to find where they go. I have the manual but it doesn't show (or I cant find) a diagram of the bottom of the fuel canister, only the top.

1986 automatic coupe with aluminum heads.

This was a post I made in a long thread about high pressure in a fuel tank. Lots of pics of my '86 canister and the hoses:

so from the pictures its looks like the bottom connects to nothing? Does it vent to the outside in case of fuel flood or something.

The pictures were extremely helpful, thank you!!!!

If it didn't vent to atmosphere, tank fumes would never make it to charcoal, while parked.

Air comes IN at the bottom when the canister purge is turned on by the ECM. Vacuum sucks the vapors out the top. On my car the vapors go to the intake manifold. In later years they go to the throttle body.
