Default ARH Headers OBD2 ?

Will the ARH headers with cats throw a Service light on a mostly stock LT4 (Stock but with cold air intake, and TB bypass)? That is my question.
I have heard that you may need a tune with the installation of the headers. But I am not sure if this is to tune out the rear O2 sensors or is it for more performance (or both)?
I do not understand why you should need a tune unless it is for the O2 sensor. The MAF should see the additional airflow on a mostly stock LT4 and adjust for it.
Before I pull the trigger and purchase the headers I would like to know if it will throw codes. I don't want to get a tune with a mostly stock engine.

Thanks!

I assume you have a 96 GS?

If so, for obd2 you have sensors that measure the function of the catalytic converter called downstream sensors, if the headers move the cats to a different position, or delete them, you will fail emissions. If you don't care about that and it removes the cat, you will need a malfunction indicator light eliminator(s), that's what they were called for my mustang.

Ad you may need an upstream o2 sensor extension.

Not sure if lt4 have AIR, but if you want to pass emissions you will need the headers that are equipped with AIR and EGR.

That's all you'll need.

We can set you up with the correct fittings to retain the factory AIR fittings

PM sent, talk with you shortly.

Thanks,
Steve

My car is a 96 GrandSport OBD 2.
LT4 engines have no EGR from factory!
So EGR is not an issue. But Air injection to the exhaust is necessary as are Cats and four O2 sensor bungs.
Thanks

We have the AIR fittings on our headers(they can be omitted for others reading), 4 o2 bungs are part of the system.

PCM's for Less is who we refer to for LT1 tuning(this will optimize the LT4 with the ARHeaders)

If you have any questions, give me a ring.

Gary, Thanks for taking the time and calling us on Wednesday.

Nick(owner of ARH) had the answers for your specific application.

We should have them built next week and shipping will be emailing the UPS tracking.

If you ever get a chance to go to Carlisle, the row of GS's is quite impressive to say the least!!!

Steve it was nice talking to you and Nick on the phone to answer all my questions. I can't wait to get them and hope they bolt in as nicely as promised. I probably won't install them right away where my garage is not heated but we may get a warm weekend around here in New England.
I failed to ask you or Nick about extension cables for the rear O2 sensors. Does the header setup come with them?
Thanks,
Gary
