W89711 harmonic ballancer puller
Here is a setup allowing to use northern auto parts W89711 Harmonic Balancer Puller And Installer on 1986 corvette with no adpatations and minimal disassembly (main ventilator, mass air flow sensor and intake flex pipe, and of course harmonic balencer pulley and center bolt):
The space is very tight but this is working:
- on top you have the front chassis cross member
- on the bottom you have the steering rack
- in the center you can see the main screw of the W89711 tool around which you can see the steering rack fluid pipe. this is very tight fit but OK.
- at the end of the tool main screw, you can see a 16mm spark plug (long) socket allowing to attach the ratchet in the aperture just in front of the radiator (radiator not visible, left side of the picture)
