Default oxgen sensor

I finally got my data logger to work and found it is hardley going into closed loop. I have no cats and long tube headers. I guess I need a heated O2 sensor. Is it worth spending more money for a name brand or can I just my anyone, can someone help me with a part # for one they like.

Define "hardly"
It will be either in or out of CL

Any 3 wire heated O2 will do the job if that is your problem

It is in the 20 degrees here and about 40 in my garage. Just as it started to go into close loop the engine idled down and went open again. There is salt on the roads here so I can't take it out. I think it can't keep the sensor hot enough.

What Mv readings are you seeing from the O2 when this happens?

It can't keep it hot enough because of your headers. They are only really really hot at the beginning of the runners.

Any heated o2 sensor that fits will do. You need a 3 wire.

The sensor wire will be cut and crimped to the old wire for the sensor on the car.

One wire will go to an ignition power source, and one wire will go to ground.

Takes probably over an hour to install.

I did it on my car in a rush and that's how long it took, I was working fast.

The stock O2 should only drop out at idle
The O2 on my long tubes is at the end of the collector and is fine as long as I am driving ,it only goes back to OL @ idle when it cools off

Just do what Daniel Ricany said and you'll be fine...My Hooker Super Comp headers have the O2 sensor bung up higher on one of the tubes, so mine stays hot enough...I was worried that with the O2 sensor only reading one tube it could be an issue, but the car runs fine and the air/fuel ratio stays consistently accurate....WW

It looks like your TPS voltage is too low and your IAC steps are too high. I would also try resetting your min idle speed to try to correct this problem.

And if this is at idle, 1075 rpms, I believe is what it says, that's way too high also.
