I just thought I would brag for those of us with automatics. Sure I wouldn't mind a 6spd, but this is awesome to me. BTW, I have a rebuilt transmission with some go fast parts like a TransGo Shift kit. :yesnod:

Datamaster is recording at 10 records per second alternating engine and tranny data, which means this tranny data is going at 5 records per second. 2/5 = .4 seconds :D
Chirps the tires every time :D :smash: :smash: :smash:
Did you change any of your tranny programming yet? I did some stuff to mine and I must say that GM makes some impressive tranny's! I amaze people all the time when I show them what my car can do and how fast the tranny shifts.
Oops, i made a mistake, the transmission lets go of 1st gear one record before that, so it's actually .6 seconds for the shift to take place. The rpm's go up just slightly when it lets go of 1st.
You can probably make it shift faster but the rest of the drive line will not be too happy about it. I had a THM 350 shift kit that would shift so fast the trans would complete its shifting before the rear wheels even knew anything had happened. A chipped pinion gear tooth and one broken U joint later, I went to a step below 'street and strip' on the first to second shift.

If you'd shut off the ASR it might do more than just chirp them! :jester :jester :jester
The year before last when I replaced my clutch, I powershifted to 2nd and dang near got sideways because I wasn't expecting the tires to spin so much!

Re: Tranny shift in .4 seconds .... :) (Glock'94)
You can even hear my new Frank Fernandez trans shift it so smooth.
But the real trick with these transmissions is not how hard they shift, you can control that with line pressure but the sercret is how FAST IT COMES OUT OF GEAR before it up shifts.
