Default MR-SR or StealthRam????

Sorry to ask the same old questions over and over, but I will be purchasing a new intake system for thecar soon and my first two choices were the SR or MR, but how about thte Holley StealthRam??? Anybody use one yet and what kind of results did you get. Any pros or cons to this system against the others???
As always Thanks for the Replies..............

It doesn't. It is almost 2" taller than the stock TPI plenum.. Won't clear our hoods. (Only F-Bodies)

MrNuke is right it is to tall to fit the Corvette but I dont think it is 2" taller, Grumpy has it on his car and he loves it.

what are your plans for the car, what are your goals, and what else have you done (or plan to do). All three choices are good depending on the setup for the application. The miniram (like an LT1) will like to rev, so a loose converter and gears will compliment it. The superram will maintain good lowend torque, but be able to rev about 1000 rpms higher than a stock TPI. It doesn't need a lot of gear or a very loose converter. I dont know much about the stealthram, but it looks like it is somewhere in between. The miniram and (probably) the stealthram have more potential, IF you are willing to do what is necessary to use it. The superram makes a nice street strip combo when coupled with the right cam and heads. Super ram is a bitch to install. Stealthram requires hood modifications. btw, I wouldn't bother with any of these intakes unless you're planning a good set of heads and the appropriate cam, etc. Good luck

Thanks for the replies........... Right now I'm running the motor with trickflow heads, compucam (.518/.524) #'s with my 1.6 RR for now, but seeing as the stealthram won't fit w/o hood mods then the MR will be my choice. I will also change the heads and cam to a bit larger along with the MR. Thanks Again.......

I have had a Super Ram and a Mini Ram on the same motor.

I suggest staying away from the SR. It is a bitch to install. It is lacking a lot in the quality department as well.

My only complaint about the MR is the arrogant pricing.

I have been looking around.... A LOT of people use the SuperRam... i dont know, but I would def go with the Mini Ram, but thats just me. I like revs, Throw some tall gears in there and I have the 6-spd so i think this will be a nice fit for my style. What do you guys think of this setup for me?

-Mini Ram
-ZZ-9 cam
-True Dual Exhaust
-Digital6 Ignition
-4.10's
-1.6 Pro Magnum Rollers
All free mods
And maybe Ported Heads later on

I used the ZZ409 cam and it was awesome. With the right programming, it idles perfect, doesn't surge, and has great streetability. It also had a nice little lope to it.

If I ever build another L98, it will have the MR/ZZ409 duo. If/when I put a cam in my LT1, it will be the ZZ409.
