I checked it again and it appears that I may have over filled it by a little less than half a quart.

I swear the first time around it was right at the add line.

Does the cold have anything to do with the oil level? I think it was like 30 degrees Fahrenheit the other day when I checked it.

I bought "beehive" springs to reduce the chance of valve seal interface trouble. They are a single spring.

Temperature won't affect oil level, just make sure to check it before starting, or when it has sat a few minutes after being ran long enough to warm up. If you just run it for a moment(not long enough to warm up) you will have to wait longer to check the oil. Temperature WILL change how long it takes for all of the oil to get back in the pan.

You can put a high temp clear silicone line on it.

Though with that much all you should have to do is disconnect it and look.
