Leaf spring rubber pads in a 89' ??

I removed it a long time ago (compressor and tank included!!), put the Z51 leaf spring and now I have to put the spring retainers and the rubber pads.
But looking at my leaf spring, it has a square mounting in each ends at the bottom side, so the rubber pad doesn't fin perfectly in the end.
So my question is maybe the years 84-87 use those rubber pads and the 88-96 don't ??
Any information will be appreciated.
Thank's and happy hollidays!!

I have the same spring code on two different springs, one from a '91 that uses the conventional pad and the same code removed from a '93 that has the 1" tall X 1 1/4" square cushion. The rest of the mounts to the cross-member are identical.
It's exactly as you said, with this square pads, and rivet brackets. I don't know the spring code, have to check it because the spring is in the car right now. I only know that the donnor was Z51, like my car.
I took it from a 93' or 94' Corvette, from a friend who was parting out one. So everything you said is correct!
Tomorrow I'll put the spring retainers to keep the leaf spring working properly.
Thank you for this information, I really appreciate it..!!!
