Default Leaf spring rubber pads in a 89' ??

I'm in the process to finish the front suspensión of my car, after the previous owner had an air ride suspensión on it.

I removed it a long time ago (compressor and tank included!!), put the Z51 leaf spring and now I have to put the spring retainers and the rubber pads.

But looking at my leaf spring, it has a square mounting in each ends at the bottom side, so the rubber pad doesn't fin perfectly in the end.

So my question is maybe the years 84-87 use those rubber pads and the 88-96 don't ??

Any information will be appreciated.

Thank's and happy hollidays!!

Does your spring have a 1 1/4" approx. square pad on each end and 4 rivets in a bracket at the ends? It's something near 1" tall. If that's the case then the spring is likely '93 or newer and you wouldn't use the additional pad you're trying to use. What is the spring code?

I have the same spring code on two different springs, one from a '91 that uses the conventional pad and the same code removed from a '93 that has the 1" tall X 1 1/4" square cushion. The rest of the mounts to the cross-member are identical.

Yes..!!

It's exactly as you said, with this square pads, and rivet brackets. I don't know the spring code, have to check it because the spring is in the car right now. I only know that the donnor was Z51, like my car.

I took it from a 93' or 94' Corvette, from a friend who was parting out one. So everything you said is correct!

Tomorrow I'll put the spring retainers to keep the leaf spring working properly.

Thank you for this information, I really appreciate it..!!!
