Is it possible for the clutch fork to brush against the PPlate and make a tapping sound during som conditions? When I brake hard with the clutch fully engage, I get a tapping sound from the bellhouse area. Same if I turn hard. But if I press in the clutch just a bit ( about 2mm), the sound disapear. Could my cluth fork need adjustment? Or could it be warped?
yep I did tighten the pivot, but mayby not enough?
The tapping is not that high, you must open the window to hear it. fast tapping. And if you brake the car with a gear in and clutch engage you must brake harder or turn harder to get the sound compared to if you just let the tranny in neutral. If you go "fast" reverse and brake you dont get the sound. I think its the clutch fork that is eihter loose on the rr bearing, or the clutch fork touches the pplate.. If you touch the clutch pedal just about 1-2mm the sound disapear.
Could it be that my new clutch is to "thick", and will wear in time? Cause I dident get a new clutch, I just let the shop put new material on the old one.
Thanks for your help....
in the servie manual is says this about the reinstall of clutch fork ".. if equipped be sure the aluminium spacer is in position".. I dident have these aluminium spacer on my old clutch set-up. But mayby I need them on this new one?
