Are you referring to the ZF? If yes the number on the tag is the "only" identifier. 044 for the last three digits would be a 610 Nm and 046 would be a 540 Nm. There's no other identifier.

Early has a "double-sided" serpentine the later has a more conventional "single-sided" serpentine BUT in your original you mentioned trans - what did you mean?

Is this regarding the belt a "NEW" question? I don't see the relevance of the "serpentine to the trans type" - the two are certainly not related. Is the car an M6 or an A4?

You've got the 700R4. Why do you need to know that?

There was NO early or late A4 transmissions for '93 Corvettes. Are you shopping for perhaps a transmission filter?

He didn't mention that until #5 but he's mentioned early and late a few times. I guessed that he's shopping for a trans filter package and he keeps getting asked the question "shallow/deep" and he's figured that's maybe early or late. The only early/late trans is the ZF and I mentioned that in my first response and he countered with the "serpentine question".

There's "no doubt" it was built as a 700R4/4L60. The OP hasn't for sure explained just what it is he's after.

Actually all 93's came with a 4L60 basically a renamed 700r4. The 4L60E did not come out in vettes until 94. It is electronic, requires a PCM instead of an ECM like your 93 has. Also, the E version does not have a TV cable going from the ASR down to the transmission like the 93 (4L60) has.
