Default A-Mold Wheel Fitment Question

Hey all, been a while since I've been in the market for my Vette; the coils set me back further than expected . Since my car is a 96 CE, I have the 9.5" (I believe) A-molds on the rear, with the smaller ones up front. I'd like to eventually have the GS wheel set up. So here is my question: if I buy two 11" GS A-molds for the rear, will I be able to move my current wheels to the front, or are they not compatible? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched and didn't come up with anything. Thanks all!

9.5 wheels on the front are not an issue. I have the GM A-molds 9.5 on all four corners of my 94'

Yes you can rotate your rears to the front, your desire for 11" rears may offer very few choices these days. I don't know how many vendors offer up the 11" 50mm with the "deep-lug" pocket. An 11" OE/GM 50mm was only ever offered in the "black" for GS applications.

I hear tires in 315mm are getting harder to find in 17" wheel configurations as well; out there but not abundant.

Most of them are racing tires but there are a few out there.

I know 315/35-17 street tires are available from Nitto, Sumitomo, Toyo and Goodyear.

Thanks for the replies, this is great news! I plan on trying to find some OEM GS A-molds within the next few months. I'll sandblast and repaint my current rears black and then shod all 4 in some nitto 555's. NT05's are a possibility, but this is my daily driver so I'm not sure. My current continental's have great tread left though, so I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Take a look at AFSwheels.com. That's where I'll be going.

Where are you located? I've a set of OE/GM GS with maybe 2K miles max on them and I've considered maybe a sale. They've got tires with equally low miles but they're old, not cracked or otherwise showing any aging issues BUT 'd not want to have anyone assume they were OK to put "in service"! They would do well for a "trailered piece" but I'd think NOT a driver.

There's a guy in Detroit with several sets of GM factory GS 11" wheels. I can hook you up with him if you want?

My 1992 is wearing 9.5" polished aluminum a-molds on the front and 11" on the rear (ZR1 spec) with Nitto NT05 tires.
Fronts are 275-40x17 and rears are 315-35's.

Forum vendor DOCZ can hook you up.

I'm currently in Tempe, AZ, but I go back to Michigan during the summers. If you're close, I'd love to take a peek . Vette Daddy, would you PM me his contact info? Thanks!

Very cool but don't you have a problem with the tires rubbing your rear fenders occasionally? Our cars appear to be twins and I'd love to do this to mine, but not if I'm going to have a fitment problem. Feedback?
