I am putting a new stock cam back into my 84 corvette, I had a comp cams 270H and quickly figured out that it wont work. So I bought a sealed power cam that is the closest thing to stock as you can buy. Now when I bought the 270H it came with lifters, I never drove the car I just broke it in with comp cams break in oil additive for 20 minutes at 2k rpm and thats all the run time it has. Do I need to buy another set of lifters or will these still be ok to use again with this stock cam
I would feel safe in using these lifters. They have little or no wear on them if you just used them to break in the cam. Just be sure to use new assembly lube on all the lobes of the new cam. I would also put some on the bottom of the lifters too.

I disagree. The most wear a set of flat tappet lifters will see is during break in (unless you starve them for oil or have some other mechanical issue).
You're talking about $50 for a set of lifters good enough for a stock cam in an 84 vette versus the cost of a new cam and gaskets to change everything back out plus the time.
