I found the ABTB0315 32.bin 16Kb file from the gm-ecm FTP site, but am confused now since the other person said it has never been completely hacked.
Also isn't my program ID byte $32b, why does this file end in only 32? From the tunercat website...
32 = 86 Y & F CAR 5.0L / 5.7L TPI
32B = 87 - 88 Y & F CAR 5.0L / 5.7L TPI
The BCC search engine gives me...

the ABTB0315 32.bin is what you're looking for. Most guys don't bother with putting the b on 32b bins since knowing the ABTB is from '88 it's a given that it's a 32b.
actually, looking at the BCC lookup page I emailed you the other day, it shows ABTB as being a non-closed loop Canada bin..... don't know if you really want that.
With NM5 EMISSION SYSTEM, NON-CLOSED LOOP (CANADA)
duh, I just noticed your cut-n-paste from the BCC lookup thing.... that says it's a non-closed loop bin, but the GM parts manual doesn't say ABTB is for import.... but these other bins may also interest you:
ABTC
ABTJ
ABTH
These are all showing to be 1987 4+3 bins, Federal emissions.
hmmmm.... and looking at the diy ftp site, I don't see any of those three.
But! I just browsed my own personal folder and I have ABTC.... I'll email it to you right now. :D
Craig thanks. It appears taht ABTC is the "other" overdrive unit. I have an MK2 unit that came with the Z51 cars. I was using the MH6 (or is it MH5 listed in the lower on, arghhh) unit for 5k miles before it burned up on me last week and I swapped it out for my MK2 unit again last Monday.
I wonder what the difference is in the BINs because of it.
I've always wondered if the O/D on a 4+3 was controlled in the TCC tables
Yes, definately. The TCC line coming out of the computer connects to the OD relay now. Everywhere in the code TCC is now OD, tables and code.
One of my main goals in life right now is to stop that @#$% ECM from kicking in the OD when I turn the first corner on the way to work, but I still want to keep the automatic kick down function. I can only see a code change to accomplish all this.
My BUB hack will assemble to a proper bin so that part is done ( now THAT took some time, LOL). I've isolated a couple hundred lines of code where I think the decision is being made... Soon, real soon.
I am thinking the next step would be APYP, the manual version of ARAP, though ABTP was recommended as a good manual bin from '88 and it was written with the 4+3 still in production. It is remarkable how much BUA/BUB code is reused in later versions, including ARAP/APYP.
