Ok so I am swapping my cam out for a custom grind from TPIS. I am not very knowledgable when it comes to all the things like ramp differences and all that. What i would like to know is how my new cam will perform compared to the old cam. Should I see alot of difference in power? The engine is a supercharged 383 and that is why I went with more LSA and a bigger split in duration. the specs are below. Thanks
Pretty minor differences. May lose a little in the mid due to the longer LSA...
I don't get why your lift is going down, while your duration went up (on the intake side)? Doesn't seem like a move in the right direction to me.
I agree, The changes are minor. The lift did go down a little. The duration is more towards the exhaust not intake and we are hoping that with more duration/split and more LSA , it would scavenge less. I dont know alot about cams and all the tricks of the trade but this cam was recommended by TPIS. i guess we will see on the dyno next week lol. Worst comes to worst, Ill swap it again.
