I read in the tech tips that you can adjust the idle - but my manual says that you can not adjust it. I searched archived threads and the question was asked for a newer lt1- the respoise was no- the computer adjusts the idle. There is an idle screw - but will this mess up the computer in any way? If it is adjustable is the tech tips correct? Also is the diagnostics plug supposed to be easy to locate (under the dash)? I cant tell one set of wires from the next?
Thanks,
paul
My method for setting base idle and TPS for an L98 is on my site.
The ALDL is located under the dash on the right of the steering wheel. It is a connector with a plastic cap over it. The upper right terminal is pin A, the upper left is pin F.
what a dummy i am- LOL- i took apart the bottom of my dash on the passengers side - thinking that it would be somewhere with the computer - i guess you live and you learn - as always thanks for the information - paul :seeya
