probably everything you have done was a waste of time. the first thing you have to do is troubleshooting.
starts and runs how long? do you have a strong blue spark during cranking?
was it timed with the new distributor? with front balancer at TDC for #1, which direction is the rotor pointing, assuming the distributor is a clock face lying flat with the 12 facing the rear of the car? are you sure the wires are installed in correct order?
do you have fuel pressure at the rails? have you checked the injectors for ohms? have you checked for injectors firing -the blinking light test?
even before that, do you have a factory service manual?
I did check for codes I get 12 witch means nothing at this moment I did not check the injectors I will look at that 12 ohms in the am thank you very much

I do have have spark and yes the distributor was installed right and was timed in with a light when it disides to run the other things I replaced needed to.be replaced like the altanater and the thermostat. It's a weird deal it run when it feels like and shuts down when it want a couple tow calls to bring it back home

the definition of the problem is better, John. you realize that we the reader have no idea of what anyone's expertise is.
so, it runs ok, but shuts itself down. was the coil replaced, and ignition module? if you are prepared, you should have a means of checking for spark when it shuts down.
does it stop suddenly, or shudder and cough? misses? stops at idle, or while under power? the more descriptive you can be the more likely you are to fix it. have you checked a couple plugs for fouling?
ohm the injectors as he suggested, although intermittents are not usually a bad injector.' code 12 is not a concern.

Coil was replaced with accel super coil. I may add I put it I the shop and they thought it was a vac leak and when he was looking for the so call leak he set the car on fire yeah real fun time with this car alright back to the story at hand i feel I.have a flood car the engine has been replaced and someone has been into the wiring I been removing butt connectors in the engine harness so I have been soldering them back. In mass air flow and air pump and ground also few other things the iaic makes a funny noise clicking I have not yet been on.that side of the harness besides disconnecting the a.c. and replacing iaic and tps. Thank god it was a free car or so call job Bonus thank you
