Code 41 & 42....HELP!!

Code 41 & 42....HELP!!
My problem started with the cooling fan not running and the car getting hot. I checked the fan motor (O.K.) and moved to the sending unit and relay. Before I could check them out completely, the SES Light came on and the engine started running rough and cut off.
At first I couldn't get the codes to pull. I disconnected the battery to reset everything. Started the car and I ran fine for a minute, SES light came on and it started running rough again.
Codes Pulled: 41 (Cylinder Select Error) & 42 (EST Circuit)...
Any help would be appreciated.

This is right off the shelf, code 41 check wiring at ECM. Possible PROM failure, or incorrectly seated PROM. Possible ECM failure. Code 42 check wiring at ignition module, replace ignition module, possible ECM failure. Hope this helps. 84 CF 91 ZR-1
