Thanks Scorp, looking for both, front & rear, '84 & '92. Friends are looking also for '85 f/r. We just need sources. What year from Pepboys @ $139.99 ? ?

I believe all C4s have the same unit.

I would be interested in finding a good source for the front one as well for the '92-96 with the built in speed sensor that you can not replace seperately. Best price I have seen is TLD and they still want $225 for it. I have checked with Jeff too (usually the first stop), but his price is higher than TLD for a change.

I replaced my rear one with the one from Pep Boys too. Should be the same for all years like Scorp said.

Perhaps it's the hubs that are different part numbers ? ?

The hub and bearing is a complete unit for the rears. Pep Boys will actually call the assembly a "hub" assembly.

That is correct. Just make sure your definition of hub is that same as what they call the hub assembly. I have one on the bench at home I can photograph if necessary.

There was a thread about using front hubs off a 94 Firebird. Other than the threaded flange, they are the same as a Vette hub but about one half the cost. They even have the speed sensor. O`reilly has them for about $106 and Autozone for about $125. Worth checking out.

I replaced all four from Pep Boys. Fronts= $159 Rears= $139. I had to press in longer studs and all went well. Two auto-x's, one at Wendover on the gripy concrete, and one on asphalt and all is fine. The previous ones lasted two seasons of auto-x and 600 miles of track use with two drivers. They did their job.

I bought rears (SKF) from Mike Kalin jenavet@earthlink.net for $120. I was very pleased with the product and the service. He wants $199 for the 91-96 fronts.

I used 94 Firebird fronts (for 91-96 vettes with speed sensor) - $109 at Pep Boys. Search for "Firebird Hub" in the title and get the details for using them.

The rears are the same for all C4's.

Autozone has NDH (OEM) bearings packed in Timmken box: Rear 513020 $157.99, Front (with sensor) 513085 $150.99. Don't ask me why the fronts are cheaper.
