Getting ready to replace opti-spark. I have water pump pulled already. To remove the crank shaft pulley. Will the pully allow me to remove the bolts without using a special tool to hold it in place. Will I need a puller to remove the pully once its unbolted. Also do I need to mark the pully so that it is reinstalled in the same position.

Mark the pulley
Remove the 3 bolts, if you are lucky it will slide off'
if not, from underneath a long block of wood, put it against the pulley, whack it hard with a hammer. Use the center bolt (helps to have a second person here) rotate about 60*, whack it again. Keep rotating until it pops off.
r&r the opti
Clean the pulley and apply some anti-sieze, bolt it back on
Remove the 3 bolts, if you are lucky it will slide off'
if not, from underneath a long block of wood, put it against the pulley, whack it hard with a hammer. Use the center bolt (helps to have a second person here) rotate about 60*, whack it again. Keep rotating until it pops off.
r&r the opti
