This is not true. In my 93 owners manual, it states no more then 10% ethanol, no more then 5% methanol, and no more then 15% methyl tertiary-butyl ether.
This is on page 242 in my manual.
FWIW I ran on E85 for about 6 months. I do have injectors that are designed for it, and I do have a bigger fuel pump. Otherwise its all stock. (fuel system) And of course it was tuned for the e85. I would still be running it, if it was easier to get in my area.
