1984 Exhaust Question
Has anyone tried or used the muffler eliminator pipes? Good or bad? How much more sound is there? Also, I was going to use "Y" pipe with crossover, any thoughts?

It is definitely louder, but I like it!
Some have complained of drone, but it seems minimal on mine and when I get in 4th and then OD with the 4+3 there is nothing that bothers me.
The other benefit is it looks cleaner from the rear and took off quite a bit of weight.

Get duel exhaust! the factory 84 cat-back is terrible. I adapted a C5Z mid section to my 84 and love it! recently picked up a C6Z mid section that i will install eventually. (C5Z is 2 1/2 H-pipe) - (C6Z is 3in X pipe)

I ended up just going cat back with muffler eliminators. Happy with the sound. Not sure, but seems like the car runs a bit less restricted. Also, seems like the fuel mileage may be a bit better too, but honestly, who cares about fuel mileage, it's a vette. Lol. Thanks to all for advice and posts.
