I just intercept the ground wire of the fuel pump with a toggle switch under the dash. My fuel pump is external and easy to wire but I would think you could do it easily with the stock in tank pump. Check the schematic and see where the pump is grounded. Intercept this wire and run it to the switch you elect to use up front and ground it.
I will look into this. I had an old 86 harness I completely weeded lots of stuff out of.....including the original factory alarm system and VATS.
.......... I have been known to use the old floor mounted high beam switch as an ignition or fuel pump cut-off ... no one ever noticed it as out of place ............

That's funny you mention that...My wife and I were just talking about how much things have changed on cars just since we've been driving. (just....we're in our 50's)
One of the things I mentioned is that floor mounted switch. I bet there are members here who have never even driven a car with one of those....
On my 92 all you need to do is pull the air bag fuse.
Kimmer, hey buddy, how ya been...I practically never get on CF much but was bored and saw this thread.
I've been looking for a low-tech solution for anti-theft. On my 95 Firebird, I wired in a toggle switch between the neutral safety switch in the console, basically interrupted the ground. It worked great, but the Ybody harness is different and I don't think it's a good option.
Are you saying that if the airbag fuse is missing, it won't crank? Is this true? Mine's a 95 btw.
